Asbestos Inspection & Testing Services
Asbestos is a hazardous material often found in older construction materials such as insulation, floor tiles, roofing, and pipe coatings. Disturbing these materials during renovations or damage can release dangerous fibers into the air, putting occupants at risk.
NYIAQ Solutions provides certified asbestos testing to identify and assess asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in residential and commercial properties. Our licensed professionals perform safe, accurate sampling and coordinate lab analysis to confirm the presence of asbestos.
Our asbestos testing services include:
- Pre-renovation or demolition asbestos surveys
- Bulk material sampling
- NYS-certified lab analysis
- Clear, easy-to-understand reporting
Protect your health and stay compliant with local regulations by scheduling an asbestos test before any construction work begins. If you are looking for professional asbestos testing and inspection services, then please reach out to us today.

What is Asbestos?
Asbestos is a group of six naturally occurring minerals composed of thin fibers. These fibers are heat-resistant and were commonly used in building materials, automotive parts, and insulation. However, over time, research has shown that exposure to asbestos fibers can cause serious health risks. Due to these health risks associated with asbestos exposure, a lab test and thorough asbestos analysis are essential to identify its presence in materials. The most common types of asbestos are:
- Chrysotile (white asbestos)
- Amosite (brown asbestos)
- Crocidolite (blue asbestos)
Where Can Asbestos Be Found?
Asbestos was commonly used in the following ways:
- Building materials: insulation, roofing, flooring, ceiling tiles, drywall, and siding.
- Automotive parts: brake pads, clutches, and gaskets.
- Home appliances: older stoves, ovens, and furnaces.
In general, buildings constructed before the 1980s are particularly at risk of containing asbestos simply due to the construction materials used for it. When disturbed, ACMs or asbestos-containing materials release toxic fibers into the air. On inhalation of these fibers, there can arise potentially fatal health issues like asbestosis, lung cancer, and mesothelioma. This severity has led to properties opting for asbestos analysis, testing, and management so as to protect public health and also comply with regulatory requirements.
